Baby Blues Already?!?!

With all the new pregnancies and newborns around me, I'm starting to get the baby blues. Liam is only five months old and even though he's super adorable, he's growing up on me. I know, I know, he's still a baby and I definitely don't want him to grow up any faster than he already is. I guess I just miss that little tiny baby.

Baby blues aside, Will and I do plan to have at least one more child. I'm currently using Implanon which lasts for three years. My current plan is to have it removed after Liam's second birthday. I think that would give us a good gap so that we can fully experience Liam's childhood. I want to give him a chance to enjoy being with just his Mommy and Daddy (maybe that's the older child in me speaking).
What's your opinion? Is there a such thing as a good age difference?

  1. I was reading an article the other day that says the best age gap for kids is between 18 to 36 months. Lacey and Miles are 31 months apart and I love it!! She will never know a time without Miles. She was potty trained by the time he was born so I didn't have 2 in diapers. I honestly don't think there is a good age to space your children. My sister and I are all 5 years apart. I hated it.

  2. My sister and I are three years apart (40 months to be exact) and it seemed to work for us. But my sister and brother are seven years apart and my sister had a hard time adjusting to no longer being the baby.
Either way, We'll be crossing our fingers (and toes) that Liam adjusts well to being a big brother.
