Baby Number Two??

First off, I'm not pregnant but I do have major baby fever. I've talked about my desire to have a second baby before but now it's no longer just a desire, it's a burning, aching desire.

I don't think there's ever a perfect time to plan a baby. I'm the type of person who likes to be in control so that means I love scheduling and organization. That being said, if I actually sat down and planned when we would try for a second baby, I may never get pregnant (on purpose) again. We could wait for me to have a permanent job or wait until we own a home. There will always be something that would better prepare us for becoming a family of four but it doesn't change the fact that I would prefer more than one kid and would want them to be close in age. We may not be ready right now but I'm crossing my fingers for sooner rather than later.

Will, however, is not on the same page with me right now. He's not quite ready for another baby, which I understand as well. Liam is a very active little guy. He's always on the move and is very strong-willed. If I had two Liams under two, I would be a very tired lady. We've had the baby talk numerous times over the past month or so and have come to the conclusion that we will be trying for a baby this year. Whether I have my Implanon removed this summer or by Liam's birthday (in December), we're not sure but this year for sure.

Am I the only one out there with baby fever? If you have more than one kid, how far apart are they?

  1. I have baby fever, every time I look at my baby girl!
We have plans to start trying for number 2 when she turns one.
There is no perfect time, but I think kno0wing that I don't want to wait means now is the best time for us. I want these kiddos close in age...when kiddo #2 turns 1...we'll start for #3. Can you tell we've already discussed this?

    1. I get baby fever when I see pictures of your baby girl too! She's gorgeous! Having kids closer in age is our plan as well. I know far too many people who put off having second (or third) kids too long and decide that it no longer works for them.

    2. I like to think that I'd rather give up 'normal' and sleep for the next 6ish years, then get back to feeling normal only to start all over. I'm sure your timing will work out. Obviously you have an idea of what you'd like so only time will tell!
